donation rules

Before you donate, please keep in mind the following rules:

donation rebates!

  • Donations of $25 or more are eligible for a rebate from the City of Winnipeg.

  • The rebate is calculated as 75% on the first $300, 50% on the rest to a maximum of $750.

  • Rebates are available for shop purchases. Cost of the item is deducted from the total rebate amount. Rebate amount is listed in the description of each shop item.  

  • The official agent will send donors rebate application forms.

  • To receive a rebate, complete the rebate application form provided and mail it to:

contribution rules

  • The maximum donation to a City Council candidate is $750.

  • No union or corporate donations

  • No anonymous donations.

  • Donors must be Manitoba Residents.
