Southland Park is a quiet, family oriented neighbourhood where people take pride in their community. Residents should be able to count on the basics being looked after with a councillor who listens and follows through.
Residents should not have to contact their councillor over and over again to get an answer. My office will respond to residents’ concerns within two business days, guaranteed.
Getting in and out of Southland Park can be frustrating. The bottleneck at East Mint and Lagimodière can leave residents waiting at rush hour. I will advocate for a formal study of practical traffic solutions that could improve traffic flow and safety.
Speeding on residential streets is another concern. I support targeted traffic calming where it is needed. The goal should be to deal with dangerous driving without making it harder for residents to get around their own neighbourhood.
The park should be one of Southland Park’s greatest assets. I will push the City to stay on top of the park maintenance, I will also use my ward allowance to help fund the planned park pathway renovation.
New roads and subdivisions should not turn Southland Park into a shortcut.
Noise from Symington Yards continues to affect nearby homes. I will work with CN and residents to find practical ways to reduce it.
My goal is straightforward: keep Southland Park safe, well maintained, and protected from development that does not respect the neighbourhood.
Campaigns are won by neighbours helping neighbours. If you believe Transcona deserves bridge building leadership, safer streets, better basics, and smart growth that puts residents first, I’d be grateful for your support.
Whether you can volunteer, donate request a lawn sign, or help spread the word, every bit of help makes a difference.
